This tour will take you for 15 days morocco tour from casablanca, starting from Casablanca the north of Morocco, vising Asilah and Chefchaouen, coming to visit Meknes and Fes. Then take the rout to the southeast, where you will have a night in the Berber camp located in the deep desert. Then drive to the high Atlas Mountains, passing through Ouarzazate, Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou to Marrakech, where you will have an exploratory journey of the area with a local guide.
Detailed Itinerary:
DAY 1 : Casablanca - Rabat
We pick you up at your hotel/airport then we see the historical heritage of the largest city of Morocco. we will be able to explore some places in the city as the biggest Mosque Hassan II, United Nations Palace and the Coastal Seaside “Corniche”, before we come back to the hotel for overnight. Afterwards, we will leave for Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we will spend the night in a Riad.
Day 2: Rabat - Chefchaouen
after breakfast we will visit the capital of Morocco, you will see the Hassan Tower and walk in the Oudayas Kasbah then drive towards Chefchaouen passing by Ouazzane and Riff mountains, we will arrive to Chefchaouen by late afternoon and the rest of the day is yours.
Day 3: Exploring Chefchaouen
DAY 4 : CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES
Today, we will depart to Volubilis and explore the ruins of this Roman city. You will visit the holy city of Moulay Idriss, a place of pilgrimage of all Moroccans After you will continue to Meknes where you will explore the Medina of Meknes with its beautiful Tomb of Moulay Ismail, the granary and the Sahrij Souani, used for irrigation and plantation, The Square of Lehdim, and the Gate of Bab al Mansour. You will have the opportunity to explore the souks and relax in one of the Square café’s. Later we will continue onto Fez. Accommodation at a traditional Riad including bed and breakfast.
DAY 5 : EXPLORING FES WITH A LOCAL GUIDE
After your breakfast, you will have your local guide who will unlock the hidden gems of Fez and make you go deeper and deeper in Fez old medina, you will discover the the medina and the famous Souks of Fes – its narrow-cobbled streets are filled with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets… You will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Fes. The tour will include a visit to the tannery and the ceramics cooperative to see the traditional Moroccan crafts. Overnight in Riad including bed and breakfast.
DAY 6 : Fes - Ifrane - Cedar forest - Midelt
Today, we drive to Ifrane “the Moroccan Switzerland” and Azrou where the biggest forest exists in Morocco – where you probably will see apes. After a break, within the forest, your travel keeps moving to Midelt and its great hills and the neighbouring mountains. In this city you will be accommodated in a Hotel.
Day 7 : Midelt - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga
After breakfast in your Hotel, we depart directly to Merzouga passing by the Middle Atlas Mountains “Tizi n t’lghamt pass”.
and thousands of palm trees throughout Ziz Valley. After arriving in the evening in the Sahara desert of Merzouga, dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 8 : Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi - Camel ride
After breakfast in your hotel, we start our journey in Merzouga, by driving off-road . Then we pay the nomads a visit, in their handmade woven tent. Learn how they live while drinking a Berber tea. Our next destination is the Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music, and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are originating from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that we take a stroll in a palm trees grove. Then drive a few kilometres to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called flamingos lake. After that you will change from the car to ride Camel and trekking to the deep desert. During our camel trekking we will catch the sunset between sands dunes. A delicious dinner in Sahara Desert camp and you will enjoy this night in desert tents with Berber drums music under the clear stary sky.
DAY 9 : MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY
Early in the morning, your camel guide will take you to watch what will may be the best sunrise of your life. After sunrise and breakfast, you will trek back to the hotel in Merzouga where you will find your driver. Then, you’ll leave to Rissani, we will visit the Markt in Rissani , a traditional town which was the origin of the ruling family in Morocco and the meeting place of the Caravans trading as far as Timbuctou in Mali. Here you will see a lot of men hooded and women veiled, continuing to Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy hotel overlooking the Dades valley.
DAY 10 : DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – HIGH ATLAS MOUNATINS – MARRAKECH.
After having breakfast in the hotel, the day will start by visiting the beautiful rock formations of dades gorges. then drive along valley of roses to reach Kalaa M’gouna, and skoura, arriving to Oarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa and stop in the atlas film studios. then to the UNESCO world heritage site called “Kasbah Ait Benhaddou” classified since 1986. Ait Benhaddou Kasbah is one of many locations served as a natural decoration for many movies such as “Alexender, Gladiator, Babel…’’ and have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we will drive to the red city of Marrakech passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Arrival to Marrakech and Drop off in your accommodation..
Day 11: Marrakech - Essaouira
After breakfast, we drive west to Essaouira city. On the way we will make stops to see the Argan trees goats. and also for panoramic views. We reach the Essaouira city, formerly Mogador, one of the important coastal cities in Morocco. In which we visit the fishing port, the ancient ramparts with cannons, and also the old Medina. Finally, transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay in Essaouira.
Day 12 : Essaouira - Marrakech
After breakfast, we depart from Essaouira, and drive back to Marrakech. With stops for panoramic views. Finally, feel free to wander in the famous Jemaa El-Fna square. Overnight stay in a Riad.
Day 13 : Marrakech Sightseeing
After a warm breakfast, we will be exploring the Highlights of Marrakesh with a local guide. The city is considered one of the four imperial cities in Morocco. The visit includes : the Bahia Palace , Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque, and stroll in the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Free time for lunch near the Jemaa El-Fna square. Later on you visit the Koutoubia mosque the largest in Marrakesh, and the Majorelle garden. Finally, transfer to your accommodation .Feel free to wander in Jemaa El-Fna on your own.
Day 14 : Ourika Day Trip from Marrakech
Leave the hustle and bustle of Marrakech behind on a one-day excursion to the Ourika Valley, where you will walk through a series of beautiful waterfalls. With a climactic 4×4, it is a practical way to get out of the city and explore the landscape and culture of the Atlas.
Next, you will go back to Marrakech to spend the night there in your lovely Riad.
DAY 15 : MARRAKECH – AIRPORT.
Depends on your flight, we transfer you to the airport (Marrakech or Casablanca) marking the end of the 15 days morocco tour from Casablanca.
